The construction firm has called in administrators after 26 years of trading.

The last financial results Nobles published were for the period between 1 October 2017 and 30 March 2019. The company recorded turnover of £25m and a pre-tax profit of £210,000.

Nobles Construction was founded in 1995 and employs around 60 staff. The company’s head office is on Faraday Road in Wavertree.

Its directors are listed as Peter Scarisbrick, John Watson and Sean O’Connor.
Mark Bowen of Birmingham-based MB Insolvency and Nickolas Garth Rimes of Rimes & Co have been appointed as joint administrators.

Prior to its collapse, Nobles Construction was embroiled in a legal dispute with Newcastle-based developer High Streets Group over the £49m Cheshire Junction scheme in Warrington.
The contractor walked away from the 362-apartment project last November, claiming High Streets Group owed Nobles money.

Nobles then launched adjudication proceedings against Palmus Developments, the High Street-owned special purpose vehicle delivering the project.
